Emotionally Fit

How is your emotional life? Are you surrounded by negative influences or positive influences? Are you stagnating, or are you growing mentally and emotionally?

Emotionally fit is defined as the state wherein the mind is capable of staying away from negative thoughts and can focus on creative and constructive tasks. Being emotionally fit (positive mind-set) is the key to success in all aspects of life. Negative emotions such as anger, anxiety, sadness and distress can prevent success and drain the energy needed to be productive in your daily routine and activities.

Being totally honest with yourself, by not being emotionally fit, how has that affected your relationships, your job, finances, family, or other activities? What has that cost you? (Time, money, happiness, freedom, sleep, promotion, etc.)

Spiritually Fit

How is your spiritual life? Are you aimlessly wondering through life or are you at peace while living out your life purpose?

Spiritually fit can mean different things to different people. For the majority, it means developing a set of beliefs, principles or values that will guide and give meaning, as well as purpose to life. Being spiritually fit allows us to achieve a sense of wholeness, and is critical in developing a sense of overall well-being. When you are spiritually fit, you will discover a greater sense of peace and self-esteem, better coping skills, and the ability to forgive yourself as well as others.

Socially Fit

Are you socially fit or do you lack confidence in building community and relationships?

Socially fit is technically defined as the existence of healthy social networks in the family and society that support optimal performance and well-being. Thus social fitness basically means how well a person is able to conduct them self within society and how well they are able to communicate with others. A person who is socially fit is able to have a sense of shared commitment with other members of their family or their social network. It involves emotional bonds such as friendships, liking and caring. A socially fit person is often able to perform extremely well as compared to a person who does not fit into society.

Environmentally Fit

Do you have an environmentally fit mind-set?

Did you know that a majority of household cleaning supplies, paint and carpets are so toxic that they are responsible for many blood type cancers? Not to mention the black mold found in so many homes. Black mold has been shown to contribute to various autoimmune diseases.

These days it seems everyone is discussing “going green,” and many individuals are taking significant steps to make their homes eco-friendly. Being environmentally responsible not only benefits the ecosystem but also saves significant dollars in our household budgets. Such choices can produce a healthy atmosphere for you and your family. Environmental toxins are everywhere and as a society we need to learn how to protect ourselves while creating a sustainable future for generations to come.

Being totally honest with yourself, how educated are you on being environmentally fit? Do you suffer from allergies, headaches, fatigue, unexplained rashes on your body or symptoms of autoimmune disorders? If so, we need to take a close look inside your home.

Nutritionally Fit

Are you nutritionally fit or do you continue to struggle with eating the right foods and drinking the right beverages that do NOT contain harmful ingredients and chemicals that have been proven to negatively affect your health? Do you struggle with achieving and maintaining a healthy body composition? How about proper vitamin supplementation?

So much emphasis is placed by our society on being physically fit, staying active, and exercising, but so little is mentioned about eating truly healthy foods – whole and traditional foods – to support your physical and mental condition.

So what is eating healthy? There are a bevy of ideas about what’s healthy to eat, depending on where you look and who you ask. It could be low-fat to one person; it could be avoiding red meat, or that you should maintain a vegan or vegetarian diet.

These are all very common beliefs among many people, and represent what you will hear from most doctors, dietitians, health & fitness coaches, and health “experts”.

If we don’t support our bodies, we will be unable to perform physically and mentally. The way most people take care of their physical bodies and what they feed themselves is a far cry from what is needed to properly maintain health. When you try to maintain a schedule of exercise but persist in eating foods that don’t support your body, and may in fact be depleting your body, you will eventually run into problems. As such, a majority of our foods today are contributing to the diabetes and obesity epidemics.

Trying to decipherer all the information/programs available on being nutritionally fit can be very confusing and overwhelming, and as a result, people give up in most cases.

Economically Fit

Are you frustrated with your current income and financial future or are you truly economically fit? Let me ask you…are you better or worse off than you were five years ago? Are you leveraging your assets while living your life purpose? Has your net worth grown or shrunk? Do you have more or less free time?

Economically fit can mean different things to different people. When most people think of economically fit they are relating that to being financially free. Financial freedom contributes to a greater sense of overall freedom—being able to enjoy and live life on one’s own terms. When people are under financial pressure, they often experience stress, worry and impaired relationships. Financial freedom reduces or eliminates those negative consequences.

Having coached thousands of people from all walks of life, I believe there are many other components that define financial freedom. Hence, economically fit.

Total financial freedom means not having to work, and can come in two forms:

Other components that comprise being economically fit include:
Developing a set of beliefs and principals around money and learning how to leverage money to pursue your life purpose. Teaching you how to maximize your income potential in your current job/career, how to set-up and operate a home-based business that generates cash flow while building long-term wealth, and leaving a legacy.

Physically Fit

Are you physically fit or do you continue to struggle with following an exercise program, as well as achieving and maintaining a healthy body composition?

Approximately 30 percent of American adults are obese and 16 percent of teenagers are considered overweight. These numbers show a stark lack of physical fitness in the American population. At a time when physical activity is declining due to technological advances, musculoskeletal injuries and chronic diseases are on the rise. Obesity leads to many other chronic diseases, including cancer, cardiovascular disease, arthritis and diabetes. Physical fitness has been proven to reduce your risk of obesity.

Physical fitness is succinctly described as a condition that helps you look, feel and do your best, according to the President’s Council on Physical Fitness and Sports. True physical fitness means meeting several prerequisites, none of which is simple, especially if you are striving to do it on your own. Trying to decipher all the information/programs available on being physically fit can be very confusing and overwhelming, and as a result, people give up in most cases.
