ABOUT PREVENTION ON PURPOSE
Prevention on Purpose (POP): Igniting a Health Movement on the Central Coast
Founded in 2014, Prevention on Purpose (POP) is more than a health initiative — it’s a community-driven movement committed to shifting the conversation from reactive intervention to proactive prevention. Our mission is simple yet powerful: to build healthier families, inspire hope, strengthen communities, and shape a brighter future for generations to come.
Over the years, POP has hosted more than 20 dynamic, solution-focused events, uniting world-renowned doctors, scientists, advocates, filmmakers, and lawmakers. These gatherings create space for bold conversations, real education, and actionable strategies that drive lasting change.
We’ve proudly featured thought leaders like Ty Bollinger, founder of The Truth About Cancer; the late Olivia Newton-John; NYT bestselling author Jordan Rubin; fitness icon Elaine LaLanne; cognitive neuroscientist Dr. Caroline Leaf; and the late Brandy Vaughan, founder of LearnTheRisk.org.
Guided by the theme “Healthy Families, Healthy Future,” Prevention on Purpose is deeply rooted in purpose, passion, and people. We believe strong families are the foundation of strong communities — and when we empower families with health, knowledge, and connection, we change the future.
Join us. Stand with us. Be part of the movement that’s transforming health on the Central Coast — one family, one voice, one generation at a time.
